In the seventies when I grow up
was a teenager at this time
had my first band and my first sex
nothing else in my mind

In summer I got a nice job
wetting flowers on the graveyard
digging holes and fill it with coffins
so I could afford my first guitar

Had all ups and downs, fell in love much to often
broke some hearts sometimes, many times my was broken

you gotta try it all, but never loose your soul

Went one summer to southern France
in a seventeen years old Ford
first the money for gas was stolen
then the car broke down at Entrevaux

And we made this phone call to home
hi, Folks, everything here is fine
we have a lot of fun these days
and a wonderful summertime

The band had to practice every friday night
and Ronnie was always late
he always needed to refresh himself
so the rest of the band had to wait

Georg spent his whole vacation
to build us a room for the band
he took care of coffee, took care for the snacks
and was mixing the sound at the and

I would not change too much if I could live it all again
even bad experiences are part of the game
